Connector-Shreveport

THE CONNECTOR WILL COMPLETE THE I-49 INTERSTATE THROUGH SHREVEPORT, JOINING I-49 SOUTH AT I-20 WITH THE NEW I-49 NORTH AT I-220
It is proposed to intersect Shreveport in order to connect I-49 at the I-20 interchange with I-49 North in the vicinity of the I-220 interchange.

CURRENT STATUS
The Stage 0 Feasibility Study and Environmental Inventory was completed in 2010. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) approved the feasibility study and allowed for the project to move forward into the Stage 1 Planning and Environmental Stage (see below for process). At the end of Stage 1, an Environmental Impact Statement will be presented to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and DOTD for approval. The DOTD project delivery process consists of six stages in total.
